Website & Navigation Tip

I have now posted over 80 story vignettes on my website. Many of my vignette writings exceed the common “less than 1,000 word count” typically presented in this writing style. My writings have been evolving over time and I am proud of this evolution. I have now recognized that there are many potential publishing projects developing in this website, both in the fiction and non-fiction genres.

Should I consider actively seeking Literary Agent representation?

To easily navigate my website, select My Writings in the Menu Bar to be directed to the current list of my vignette writings. These writings of my memories appear in the Parts and Eras from when they occurred. Select the Vignette Title link in the Era that captures your interests to learn more about this part of my story.

  • Moving Again…

We lived in Phoenix, Arzona for less than a year and now we are moving again. I remember asking my mom where we were moving to and she just turned her head and looked out through the car’s front windshield with a blank stare. Why was this a secret? Why couldn’t I know where they…

  • Elementary Interview…

When something odd happens to you as a young boy, you never really forget that oddity. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona without much notice from my mom, I think I became more aware of what was going on around me, even at my young age. And I did question my mom many times about how…

  • Holidays Shared…

You might think I am talking about just the December holidays. Well, this year it was going to be a bit different. My best friend and his family being Jewish meant that I was about to experience something very new. And very different. Since his family basically adopted me and my mom, including my mom’s…

  • I Discovered The Moon…

Have you ever had that experience of extreme excitement in your youth when you discover something new for the first time. You know What I mean, that goose bumps moment. This recalled memory is of the day when I had one of those moments. It is morning recess at my new school. I remember standing…

  • Lunch At The Bunny’s Place…

Well, my birthday party this year was awesome. And after the party I now have more new friends and a new best friend. I think that this is the time in my life when I discovered what a best friend is and what an inseparable bond feels like. In life, you only get so many…

  • A New Friend…

We are all moved in now. From what I remember, my clothing selection was small and not well suited for the desert heat. I did have some shorts and T-shirts, and a bathing suit which was basically an old pair of shorts. It was my first full day in this new place. My mom was…

  • Going West…

For some reason we quickly moved out of our house in the later part of the summer in 1964. This was just before my 9th birthday. And I do not know why. Our moving journey was by car, and I think it was in a station wagon because of its size. I do not remember…

  • My Young Body…

From what I remember, my friend’s older brother, who was only a few years older than me I think, took an interest in me, and I felt his interest was a special one. One day he asked me to go to the woods with him. He had always been nice to me and his younger…

  • The Dark…

Have you ever been so frightened that the experience of that trauma would change how your daily routine would be impacted? And did this experience happen when you were just a kid in your age of innocence? Or did it happen when you were a young teen? Well, my bedtime routine was dramatically changed when…

  • Scary Movie…

There was a movie theater on the main street going through the heart of Mount Airy, North Carolina in the early 1960’s that played matinee movies on Saturdays for the town’s kids. The movie variety from what I had heard was ok. I had not been to the theater and only heard stories from friends…
