Website & Navigation Tip

I have now posted over 80 story vignettes on my website. Many of my vignette writings exceed the common “less than 1,000 word count” typically presented in this writing style. My writings have been evolving over time and I am proud of this evolution. I have now recognized that there are many potential publishing projects developing in this website, both in the fiction and non-fiction genres.

Should I consider actively seeking Literary Agent representation?

To easily navigate my website, select My Writings in the Menu Bar to be directed to the current list of my vignette writings. These writings of my memories appear in the Parts and Eras from when they occurred. Select the Vignette Title link in the Era that captures your interests to learn more about this part of my story.

  • Cardiac Rehab Assessment…

Cardiac rehab was highly recommended and promoted by the medical teams at the hospital before my discharge. It felt like if I didn’t go bad things would happen. Have you ever had that feeling when someone is telling you if you don’t do something that effects your health you will probably die? I was honestly…

  • Thanksgiving…

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving! This day is one of my most favorite days of the year, and this year it is even more special. I am still here in this world and I get to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Watching this parade brings back the memory of discovering Santa Claus when I…

  • First Week Home…

  • FMLA & Recovery…

The College where I work informed me that I needed to apply for FMLA which is the Family and Medical Leave Act because of my major medical event. Completing these forms would basically protect my position at the College while allowing for me to maintain my health care benefits and to take time for my…

  • The Mediterranean Diet…

So, at the hospital I was reminded much more than I ever thought I could be reminded about healthy eating, watching what foods I eat, that sodium and sugar were not a friend to my health, I should watch what I drink including drinks with alcohol, and that I should look at the Mediterranean Diet….

  • My Daughter’s Seizure – Part 2…

Fortunately, the front door was open since my work area was set up in the front yard where I was cutting the pieces of wood for the newel post. So, understanding my predicament, I began to yell “HELP” towards the open door, and I was yelling pretty loudly. After about 10 minutes of yelling the…

  • My Daughter’s Seizure – Part 1…

It’s Tuesday morning and my eldest daughter, who is 12 at this time, is home from school. I am upstairs resting in bed. My younger daughter is in school and my wife is on her way to work. I hear a strange thumping noise from downstairs but don’t think much of it. I just thought…

  • First Day Home, Recovery Begins…

It is Sunday morning and the girls have their riding lessons at 9:00 AM. I slowly get out of bed and head downstairs for a cup of coffee. I needed to get back into more of my normal morning routine so that I can realize that I can do things with some limitations for this…
